Getting Started

1. Please take the time to read over the information contained in the “DBT Information” section of this website.

2. The first step is to call Claudia Stevens, LCSW at 541-621-0303 and request an initial phone consultation with one of our staff. In addition, please leave us good times and phone numbers where you can be reached. The actual phone consultation is meant to be brief and should take no more than 5 to 10 minutes. If it seems from the phone consultation that you may be a good candidate for our DBT program, we will arrange for you to come in for a formal intake interview.

3. Please download and fill out the following forms before your visit.

What to expect:

The first individual sessions are spent evaluating the client and orienting them to the treatment as well as obtaining a commitment from the client to the treatment. If the client and the therapist believe the client is appropriate for DBT, the client will then begin skills training classes when the classes open which is every 6 weeks or so.  Clients generally commit for one year so that they can be exposed to all the material twice which has been shown to derive the best benefit for the client. Classes are small and space is limited to allow for participants to receive individual instruction.
